The congress commenced with the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s opening speech and hosted a variety of attendees. Our director, Ibrahim Dogus, attending the congress on behalf of the Centre for Turkey Studies, informed the attendees about the centre’s work.

The current Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Ali Babacan, held a reception as part of the congress at the Ciragan Palace. Ibrahim Dogus among the invitees at the reception met with Ali Babacan about the centre’s events and activities and talked about recent events in Turkey.
