“London is home to a range of communities with their origins in Turkey, including the Turkish, Kurdish, and Turkish Cypriot communities, all of which have made a substantial contribution to the capital’s success.

The Centre for Turkey Studies does excellent work in providing a platform to recognise these achievements, bringing together voices from across the different communities to discuss issues affecting them here and across the region.

CEFTUS plays an integral role in building bridges between Turkey and the UK, with such links more important than ever as London continues to live up to its reputation as a city which is open to all. By doing so, CEFTUS also helps promote London’s values of inclusiveness, equality and strength in diversity in a uniquely important part of the world.

I wish CEFTUS all the best in these efforts.”

Rt Hon. Sadiq Khan
Mayor of London
