Turkey is at a definitive moment in its history. A new presidential system has drastically restructured the country’s politics, the military is increasingly involved in Syria and Iraq, and the economy is on the brink of crisis.

Yavuz Baydar, Editor-in-Chief of recently formed independent Turkish news outlet Ahval will be joined by Distinguished Visiting Scholar at the (Stockholm University Institute for Turkish Studies Cengiz Candar, human right’s activist Nurcan Baysal, and distinguished academics Dr. Ayse Zarakol and Dr. Arzu Yilmaz to discuss these developments and what they mean for democracy and the region.
