- Women’s political participation, while low, has increased in the AKP years and the party has worked to tackle key issues but critics accuse them of misogyny, undermining this progress.
- Murders of women have risen at an alarming rate in recent years, which the government explains on improved policing and measures to tackle this troubling issue.
