Dr Aradhana Perry

Aradhana is a chartered clinical psychologist with over 19 years experience of working in the field of mental health, in the national health Service (NHS).

She is a registered health practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and an affiliated clinical supervisor for the London and Thames Valley clinical psychology doctorate training courses at University College London and the University of East London.

Since completing her professional doctoral training in clinical psychology in 2003, Aradhana has worked within different sectors of the NHS, with people who experience a range of mental health problems; from working in GP surgeries with people who experience mild -moderate emotional difficulties, to those with more severe and enduring psychological problems in secondary care (working in a multi- disciplinary community mental health team and acute psychiatric inpatient hospital wards). Aradhana has also had considerable experience working in specialist trauma services with asylum seekers and refugee people. She has published papers in peer review journals and has presented research both nationally and internationally.

Aradhana is also fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) by an accredited UK and Ireland organisation.  Aradhana works in the NHS within a specialist service whose remit is to improve the provision of psychological therapies for Black and minority ethnic communities in east London. Aradhana is currently on sabbatical for a year.
