Dr Caroline Tee

 

Dr Caroline Tee is a postdoctoral research assistant in Social Anthropology at the University of Bristol, funded by the John Templeton Foundation. Her research explores approaches to scientific learning in the Gulen-Hizmet educational movement in Turkey. Her doctoral project addressed issues of memory, religion and identity in the Turkish Alevi community, largely through the medium of asik poetry. She has lived and worked in Turkey for 7 years, and holds degrees from Durham, Exeter and Bristol.

Dr Caroline Tee advises the Centre for Turkey Studies on  research and policy.
