Seema Malhotra MP Supports the Centre for Turkey Studies

 

The Centre for Turkey Studies is an independent and non-partisan organisation inaugurated in 2011 with the support of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg in London. The centre celebrated its first anniversary on 30 April 2012 with Mr Clegg and hundreds of guests.

Many members from both chambers of the Houses of Parliament and Members of the European Parliament in Brussels are supporting the Centre for Turkey Studies. Seema Malhotra, Labour MP for Feltham and Heston stated that she has been closely following the centre’s work, and added that the centre has gained tremendous recognition for its important work on Turkey and the British communities from Turkey in the UK despite being a very new organisation. Mrs Malhotra is pleased to support the centre in the future.

Director of the Centre for Turkey Studies, Ibrahim Dogus, thanked Mrs Malhotra and all MPs for their continuous support of the centre and added that the centre will continue to work more for the London’s community development in the future.

Centre for Turkey Studies arranged a panel discussion on 12 March 2012 at the Houses of Parliament with the former Deputy of AK Party, Mr Dengir Mir Mehmet Firat. The centre also held a meeting on the 21st of March about the duties of London’s local governments.
