Community Achievement Awards Continue to Attract Nominations

Applications for nominations in various categories of the second Community Achievement Awards organised by the Centre for Turkey Studies continue.
The awards ceremony will be held in central London on 27th March. It is expected that the awards will be presented by Rt Hon Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
The Community Achievement Awards aims to improve solidarity among Turkish, Kurdish and Turkish Cypriot communities as well as promoting successful individuals and institutions as good role models for the younger generations and aspiring new businesses.
The nominations suggested by the public for the second Community Achievement Awards will be determined by a jury of eminent members of the communities. Among them are Baroness Meral Hussein Ece OBE, Councillors Dogan Delman, Yasemin Brett, Dilek Dogus, business people Mustafa Topkaya, Hasan Dikme, Turhan Ozen, Enver Kannur, Aligul Ozberk, Sadan Gurses, Isil Guler, Siddik Bakir and Professor Ibrahim Sirkeci and Dr Ipek Demir.
The director of the Centre for Turkey Studies, Ibrahim Dogus, stated that the centre has received many applications so far and added that the deadline is 4th March 2013. Dogus kindly requested that the applications for nominations with brief information about the nominee should be sent to [email protected]. The applications also can be sent directly to the jury members or nominations can be made on www.ceftus.org/awards2013.
